Arguably three of the most talked about potential hires for schools looking for coaches.

Cignetti already signed his new contract.

Rumor has it Lane's staying.

Even if (which I sincerely doubt) would leave Mizzou that's 2 out of 3 that are turning down 'blue blood' cheaters to stay put.

Think about that ol skool college football fans.

No more poaching schools like Mizzou, Ole Miss, Indiana, etc

these days we're poaching you! lol Example: Wilson from jawja transferring to Mizzou. Sure Mizzou lost a couple here and there but do you really think before NIL Mizzou had any chance to have a guy like Wilson transfer from jawja to lil ol mizzou. lol

Even though it appears we've bought a crappy QB can you imagine several years ago Mizzou convincing Penn St.s next starting QB who grew up a life long Penn St. to transfer to Mizzou and pay him $1.5 million/year?

You bought PSU's shitty back up QB & your coach has his agent throw his name out there for every job opening. Congrats.

We've only had 1 coach in our history poached and that was during a very dark time in Ole Miss sports where we had a chancellor and AD that did not care at all about sports.

If Drink doesn’t win big at UF right away, fans will see the resemblance to Swamp Donkey and his act will grow thin quickly.

To be fair, have we really had that many coaches worth poaching?

Lane would be dumb to leave. Has them at a high level with so much less pressure. NFL?…Maybe but he f’ed that up

Eta: drink should consider something - can’t always get hot at mizzou

Alpha males like pressure. No pressure means they will slack off some naturally.

Lets just say you are working out

Do they want to increase their Deadlift, Squats, Bench Press etc. or lift the same weight every week or do they want to push themselves?

None of those are slam dunk hires though. Lane is the closest, but its not hard to imagine him flaming out somewhere.

I'm also not sure Drink is as coveted a candidate as Mizzou fans think he is.

I don’t know. I could see Lane fooling everyone and staying at Ole Miss. Then again I could see him leaving too.

I keep hearing some say that Florida is broke. I don’t know if that’s true or not but that could play a factor if it is true.
