Div 1A Games:
Henry - 14 games - 5.57 ypc, 26TD, 153.64 ypg
Fournette - 12 games - 6.51 ypc, 22TD, 162.75 ypg
Chubb - 4 games - 8 ypc, 5 TD, 154 ypg
P5 Games:
Henry - 12 games - 5.64 ypc, 22TD, 166.92 ypg
Fournette - 10 games - 6.33 ypc, 18TD, 157 ypg
Chubb - 3 games - 8.13 ypc, 3 TD, 165.3 ypg
SEC Games:
Henry - 9 games - 5.67 ypc, 14TD, 180.33 ypg
Fournette - 8 games - 5.77 ypc, 12TD, 139.25 ypg
Chubb - 3 games - 8.13 ypc, 3 TD, 165.3 ypg
Top 25 Rush Defenses:
Henry - 7 games - 4.98 ypc, 14TD, 143 ypg
Fournette - 4 games - 4.36 ypc, 4TD, 102.5 ypg
Chubb - 1 game - 7.3 ypc, 1 TD, 146 ypg
Top 25 Teams (final polls):
Henry - 7 games - 5.19 ypc, 15TD, 149.86 ypg
Fournette - 4 games - 4.64 ypc, 4TD, 117.25 ypg
Chubb - 1 game - 7.3 ypc, 1 TD, 146 ypg
Top 10 Teams (final polls):
Henry - 3 games - 4.56 ypc, 6TD, 120 ypg
Fournette - 2 games - 3.16 ypc, 1 TD, 69.5 ypg
Chubb - 1 game - 7.3 ypc, 1 TD, 146 ypg
The average of ranked rushing defenses faced:
Henry - 43.4
Fournette - 68.4 (74.5 w/o Alabama)
Chubb - 58.8 (73.25 w/o Alabama)
*Chubb's stats do not include Tennessee due to only having 1 carry in that game.
All 3 were great RBs for their teams. I added a notation for average defense rank without Alabama as the #1 skews much more favorably for Chubb than Fournette due to Chubb playing in half as many games.
Other notes:
Fournette did not play a subdivision team, but Chubb and Henry both did (Southern and Charleston Southern, respectively). Henry ran for 9 carries, 68 yards, 2 TDs against his 1AA opponent; Chubb ran 15 times for 131 yards and 2 TDs against his.
Fournette ran against the most "Bottom 100" defenses (those that did not crack the top 100) with 4, but Chubb played in 2 out of the 4 FBS teams he faced.
Chubb's 83 yard run against Alabama when down 38-3 accounts for 11.1% of his total yards for the season, and 56.8% of his yards against Alabama. Removing their longest runs against Alabama:
Fournette - 18 carries, 13 yards, 1 TD
Chubb - 19 carries, 63 yards, 0 TD
Accompanying passing game:
LSU - 6/19, 128 yards, 1 INT, 1 TD
UGA - 11/31, 106 yards, 3 INT, 0 TD
Neither team was able to produce an air attack that threatened Alabama, so both RBs had all attention on them.
Chubb did better against Alabama, even if you do not take into account the 83 yard run late in the game. Chubb had an additional 24 yards on 9 carries after UGA was down 31-3. Even taking that into account, that leaves 10 carries and 49 yards in the first half. Chubb still comes out on top for this common opponent.
If we stretch back enough into 2014 for Chubb to have as many opponents as Fournette:
FBS - 10 games - 7.72 ypc, 14 TD, 168.3 ypg
P5 - 9 games - 7.74 ypc, 12 TD, 173.7 ypc
Conference - 7 games - 8.15 ypc, 9 TD, 166.6 ypc
Top 25 Defense - 4 games - 7.4 ypc, 6 TD, 192.5 ypg
Top 25 - 4 games - 7.01 ypc, 6 TD, 171.8 ypg
Top 10 - 2 games - 6.11 ypc, 2 TD, 137.5 ypg
Interestingly enough, Chubb has two carries against Top 10 teams that accounted for 148 of his 275 yards against them (an 83 yard run against Alabama, a 65 yard run against Georgia Tech). Even breaking down the stats a lot, I would not see a reason to "not" include his big run against Tech, as the game went into OT so no stats were accumulated in "garbage time".
Chubb, using the above method, has 2 lower division teams on his schedule.
His average run defense is 50.8. The time frame meant going back to the Arkansas game of 2014; he did not face any additional defenses ranked below 100 (Kentucky was 91st, no other was worse than 69th).
In summary:
Each has a strength that one could point to as a reason to label them the "best". It would be hard to pick one even breaking all the stats down.
I can say, however, that 2015 had 3 legitimate Heisman-caliber running backs in the SEC. That alone is pretty impressive.
Henry - 14 games - 5.57 ypc, 26TD, 153.64 ypg

Impressive info. All three are quality backs. It would be interesting to know how LF and NC fared running behind an all American line that Henry ran behind. Likely pretty similar to Henry’s numbers.

I’m glad that Henry didn’t have to play that Bama defense in an actual game.
Chubb got his 100 yards on one big run but aside from that Bama’s D shut him and Fournette down.

Run the numbers for Fromm vs Bentley vs Mizzou's QB.
I trust you.

Possibly, but their coaches also seemed reluctant to run them as much as Henry was utilized. Especially Chubb, though Fournette was used a bit more until Henry's last 4 games put him over the top in carries per game.
Henry - 26.3 carries per game
Fournette - 25 carries per game
Chubb - 20.1 carries per game

What? He had one All-American (a 2nd teamer too) in C Ryan Kelly. They had 2 All-SEC players to LSU’s one. They were also 91st in the nation in TFLs given up per game and were one of the penalized of Alabama’s OL under Saban.
They were still solid but Bama doesn’t have a 2012 caliber OL every year like everyone seems to always think.
I think PFF rated LSU’s OL higher than Bama’s too that year.

How do their pro careers compare? Honest question.

Three great backs that we were all privileged to watch. Hopefully we have 3 more to debate in the near future.

Fournette and Chubb were on a different level than Henry
