Named the new head coach of the Sylacauga Aggies. He has a very impressive record at the private HS he attended as their HC and spent one year at Hoover as their QB coach.

I think he had a younger brother who also went to USC east as a football and baseball player. Transfer to Bama as a catcher best I recall.

No, Chris is the guy that came to USC and played QB then transferred to Alabama and played baseball.

Nope. HIs younger brother Brad was a pretty significant role player as a TE/H on a Bama Championship team. Played for a little while with the Browns.

He got a call from Dabo and went to Clemson. Probably doubled his salary for sure

There was a top ranked matchup between Kentucky and South Carolina in 2007.
Smelley was the QB for South Carolina in that victory.

They had a rough season this year - while in-town rival went to State. He will be under some pressure right out of the gate, but I guess that is the nature of the job

since my rug rats are long gone I dont keep up with the team and the players. I only know of one starter from last years team. He should be returning but not sure what else is coming back. I think our QB and RB were underclassman.
