Is the winningest first year coach in SEC history. It’s still the regular season.

Is that the name of yalls coach? Absolutely no disrespect intended I just legitimately didn’t know his name.

Well, not to downplay his success because he has made all the right moves as the season unfolded, but it’s not a bad thing to inherit a Jake Mangum and an Ethan Small etc.
He gets huge credit for having to deal with 5 weeks with a hurt Saturday starter and not having a Sunday starter untill recently and moving position players until he found the right placement. He’s done a good job in general making calls and the right time.

He still exceeded expectations though right?

Not really. This same team that was one game from playing Arky for the natty didn’t lose anyone and added a 1st round draft pick. Anything less than an Omaha run is a disappointment.

Just had to replace 2 pitchers in the SEC rotation and 3 out of 4 infielders other than that it's same team as last year

Uh you need to check that. We did lose some players.

It’s the same core team besides Stovall and Pilkington, who through shifts in the lineup have been replaced by better players (Westburg and Ginn). Don’t tell me you think Luke Alexander was that much of a difference maker lol.

I love when our fanbase tries to downplay what we have done this season. He replaced three fielders and found a weekend rotation while our hitters are some of the hottest in the country

Not downplaying it at all. I’m just saying that we had every reason to expect another deep run in Omaha and what has been done so far means nothing if we aren’t in contention.

I agree. Chris Lemonis has done a great job.

We were picked to finish 6th in the West

We have 5 Soph in our lineup plus 3 freshmen who have played in our lineup,

So I was correct by saying that he exceeded expectations?

He had 3 walk off hits last year, and his defense was way more consistent than Westburg’s, imo.
The bullpen lost major contributors in Zach Neff and JP France, with starter Konnor Pilkington leaving as well.

Agree on those two, but Pilkington was very inconsistent last year. Yeah, Alexander had a good glove, but it’s nothing that Westburg hasn’t made up for with his bat. Overall key contributors from bats this season are the exact same, save Stovall is my point.
