That’s not a good hire that’s a home run hire.
The improvement in coaching in the SEC over a five year period is incredible.

Those are all guys who would be on the top of the wishlist for top 10 schools looking to make a change.
Then you have guys like Jans and Stackhouse who did outstanding jobs this year but still have a bit to prove.
I don’t think there is even a close second when looking at the next best conference from a coaching standpoint and that’s coming from someone who 10 years ago could hardly stand to watch SEC basketball because the quality of the play and coaching was so horrific.

Look at the football/bball coaches hired (or not fired) by SEC programs the last few years. If you can win, it doesn’t matter what you do, you got a job.

I don’t know how long he’ll be with us but will definitely energize the fan base and sell some tickets.
