quote:this is the point. once there was money involved = A G E N T. msu informed the sec well in advance of the season. the sec chose to do nothing. all the sec had to do was get cam on record as knowing that there was an alleged offer. that blacklists the agent and schools know they have to go to cam, not the agent. anyone talking to the agent is risking serious trouble and ending cam's chances. instead, the sec covered it up and the ncaa bungled the whole thing hiding behind the loophole.
offered his daddy money and that made him ineligible at any school. scam not knowing doesn't matter. Check the rules, any parent or guardian soliciting money = ineligible
the sec got lucky. if the ncaa had done their job, the sec would have looked very, very shady.
auburn fans seem to equate the sec/ncaa incompetence with innocence. now, the fb program has a black eye and an asterisk.

What money was involved?

Hmm, I wonder why that didn't happen. All they had to do was get that to happen. How would they do that? Interview him? Surely they have interviewed cam. I guess not.

What does this even mean.

the sec covered it up
Right, because that's the only possibility

What job didn't they do? Get cam? For what? What rule was broken that he could not be reinstated from?

So do I. It's crazy how emotionally invested some people can get in a school they don't even cheer for. I don't know nor do I really care if we have actually done half the stuff we have been accused of. If we have then we are getting away with murder (literally).

I'm not going to read this thread, so I apologize if covered repeatedly. Has Selena Roberts responded to her report being destroyed and her credibility ruined.....again?

i wouldn't say it "gets to me." i would say i'm disappointed in how inept emmert and slive were. they had a chance to make it right and totally sucked. i don't care if it was auburn or middle state jr. college

quote:oh, none. this was all made up by auburn haters. you know perfectly well what money
What money was involved?
quote:precisely because of how things played out. they rolled the dice and won. sec gets another ring. shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
I wonder why that didn't happen
quote:obviously, they didn't.
Surely they have interviewed cam
quote:if the sec publicly acknowledges that cam is on record saying one thing or the other about pops soliciting him, cam can't act ignorant any more. if a school comes within 100 yards of pops, cam can be declared ineligible or even banned from the sec and the school involved could get some reprimand.
What does this even mean
quote:when msu notifies the sec office and nothing happens, pretty much
Right, because that's the only possibility
quote:explain why emmert said the rules of amateurism were broken? explain why emmert kept talking about a loophole? that is the job the ncaa didn't do. they hid behind the loophole so they didn't have any pressure on themselves to actually do anything.
What rule was broken that he could not be reinstated from?
this isn't terribly difficult to figure out.
what's humorous is the handful of auburn fans who really believe the fb program is innocent because they weren't found of "wrongdoing."
