Alabama has actually had 2 QBs taken as the 1st player overall - 1965 Joe Namath & 1948 Harry Gilmer. Gilmer didn't win a natty though; Namath did.

JaMarcus did nothing to win a National Championship. In fact we won one the year before he took over and the year after he left. Downvote.

So was he not on the team? Did he not contribute 1 touchdown either year? He played, he earned it. His contribution to the team was far more valuable than yours.
