Conference Champions
Clemson (13-0) - ACC
Ohio State (13-0) - Big 10
Baylor (12-0) - Big 12
Oregon (12-1) - Pac-12
Georgia (12-1) - SEC

Others
LSU - 12-1
Bama - 11-1
Oklahoma - 11-2
Utah - 11-2
Minnesota - 12-1

My vote would be:

1. Ohio State vs. 4. LSU
2. Clemson vs. 3. UGA

In this scenario the others don't even get a sniff. It'd be the 3 undefeated conf champs and UGA. Easily.

TOSU. Clemson, UGA, Baylor

Wins over OU twice greater than beating Utah

That's probably by far the toughest possible scenario to pick four teams from.

Even though LSU deserves to get in, I would give Baylor and UGA the nod.

Ohio State
Clemson
Georgia
LSU

And if any if those 4 have to get bumped, Minnesota would be my next up with wins over Penn St., Iowa, and Wisconsin are more impressive than Baylor beating a stumbling OU team twice.

Agreed.

Can't really penalize a team for their only loss being in the conference championship.

It's different than when Auburn lost their spot when they lost to UGA in the title game. That gave them two losses.

This.

Conference championships need to mean something or stop playing them.

So Baylor just gets shafted?

The committee would never do it, but a 12-0 Baylor should be ahead of a 12-0 Clemson.

Honestly if we're doing four best teams

1. Ohio Stante vs LSU (Glendale)
2. Georgia vs 3. Clemson (Atlanta)

Although I could see Baylor jumping LSU

That has literally happened in the playoff era.

That was their 3rd loss

If this madness happens, the committee would have no choice but to expand the playoff to 8.

Edit: meant next year, obviously.

1 Ohio State (13-0) vs 4 Baylor (13-0)
2 Georgia (12-1) vs 3 LSU (12-1)

Clemson would have no Top 15 wins, so they lose out.

LSU would have 4 quality wins, more than Baylor, and higher ranked.

Georgia gets ahead of LSU based on head to head, and would have to win the rematch to advance.

The 3 undefeateds and the SEC Champ. Want to play, then don’t lose the SECCG.

You play to win the game.

Don’t lose and expect a handout.
