I'm pretty sure 97% of Alabama fans had no idea the team was playing baseball today. I was among that number. Congrats to LSU...I think?

He took over a program that went 5-24 in the SEC and then went 8-22 and 7-23 in the SEC the first 2 seasons.
Not exactly scintillating stuff for a local fanbase that already cares about going to softball games as much or more than baseball.

Bama needs to get a young guy like Tenn did to inject a new life and style into the program. Many fans say “we don’t care about baseball” but would damn well be there if they were good. I’ve seen them pack Hoover when they have good teams. Getting someone less douchey than Tenn got would be ideal as well.

I mean I get it, but I feel like fanbases usually get excited for change, especially when the program was floundering. Just surprised a new coach didn’t generate even any initial hype back then

Problem is the scholarship issue and always will be. A guy like Vitello is never leaving being the #1 assistant at a Top 10 school like Arkansas for Alabama with that sort of built in competitive disadvantage in that league and divison.

Alabama actually hired Bohannon the same off-season that Tennessee hired Vitello. But you’re right. Outside of being a great recruiter, Bohannon leaves a lot to be desired. He hasn’t sold his program much at all.
