football this fall for SEC/ACC/B12

Barrett Sallee:

"Expect a bunch of 'sources' from Big Ten and Pac-12 country to do all that they can to make sure that the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 don't play football this fall."

FWIW. I guess one of those sources has already exposed himself yesterday, i.e. Oregon State prez's remarks regarding the SEC playing this fall.

Update: And another "source" comes out of closet, Dennis Dodd.

The Oregon St. president is a piece of shite who did everything he could do to screw up LSU while he was here.

They know they are screwed if the ACC/B12/SEC play and have similar or better infection rates than B1G/PAC players.

The pitchforks will come out for those ADs commissioners.

Big Ten expected everyone to cave when they cancelled. Now that they didn't, they will try to save face and go to low class levels in order for nobody else to play. Would love it if the SEC/ACC/Big 12 don't schedule them again for the foreseeable future

They have a grossly inflated view of their self worth. Majority of their success came pre facemask.

If I were Larry Scott and Kevin Warren, I would be very nervous right now. It wasn't their decision, but someone will have to take the fall.

Mark Emmert came out and said there will be no championships this fall. Sounds like he is their mouthpiece. Take the winner from each conference that plays and have a playoff and crown a champ and don't give any money to the NCAA anymore. They won't be able to live off Big10 and Pac12 money alone.

PAC 12 is already there, aren't they? Oregon is staging a bit of a come back, but this could kill them off completely.

This much is obvious. Expect a barrage of hysterical reports coming out, players near death in the locker rooms etc.

It's almost like there was a conspiracy going, and the Big 10 and Pac 12 THOUGHT everyone was on the same page. And now, suddenly, they've been hung out to dry.

If the 3 remaining P5 conferences play (along with the Sun Belt and whoever else), the Big 10 has committed suicide.

UGA and OU sued the NCAA in the 70s to get the NCAA out of the TV rights for football. Why football is separate now.

Wouldn't surprise me if they kick up too much of a fuss, that the SEC, Big 12, ACC and any others that play split from the NCAA altogether and form their own governing body, leaving the NCAA with only the PAC 12 and Big 10. The NCAA should proceed very, very carefully going forward. Same for the Big 10 and PAC 12.

I’d like to see a new preseason top 25 released without the teams that aren’t playing.
Big 10 and Pac 12 will absolutely love that.

Am I reading it wrong?....Based on Emmert's quote it doesn't apply to FBS football?

Emmert quote:

"We cannot, now at this point, have fall NCAA championships because we don't have enough schools participating. The NCAA board of governors has decided that if you do not have at least half of the schools participating you cannot have a legitimate championship. So, we can't in any Division 1 NCAA championship sport have a champion in the fall, which is everything except FBS football in the fall."
