ETA: I-59 Tiger is correct: the '99 game was a 4 pm kick on ESPN and not on CBS. Game ended in twilight as it was mid-September. Sun went down and cigars were lit. Sunset in Baton Rouge on October 26th will be at 6:22 pm. Hmm...

Heisman candidates draw national ratings. People follow the race and tune in to see how they do. They may say the "best game in the best conference", but they really mean the '"best game to sell commercials".
