CBS walking out the door to the SEC negotiations is now about to officially bite them in the arse. The average college football fan, or even general sports fan, is not going to be able to turn away from the Circus-Freaks-Running-A-Working-Nuclear-Silo level of awe and entertainment the SEC is going to generate the next few years - regardless of what team they pull for or their own feelings toward the SEC. God forbid someone from the East actually goes out and hires someone with an actual pulse or entertainment value.
Whatever the SEC was asking for in a television contract? Yeah, go ahead and just add another $10,000,000 to that right now and let the bidding war start there.

Unless another network agrees to buy them out, CBS has another 3 years on the contract. Given the "win now" attitude in the SEC, there is a very good chance half or more of the current football coaches won't be employed by the time the contract is up.

I don't see how offering $300M a year, and being told "no", then walking out, is fricking up? That is a ridiculous amount of money.

They'd lose the Masters, too, if it ever went to a bidding war.
I think CBS only cares about 60 Minutes

Here is where we are headed. Disney paid so much money they could never make a profit without screwing one of two people. The advertisers are going to get gouged or the days of free football Saturdays will be over. They will come up with a NCAA football+ for $19.95 monthly. Just watch and see.

If ABC Disney gets ahold of it and it sounds like they will it's the SEC's fans that are going to get fricked. Just wait and see

Are you a complete idiot?

THE CBS contract was for 16 games a year ( give or take) and to think the Leach is Kiffen are somehow gonna ballin up the value of 16 games is idiotic.

The MSU/OM narrative will add value to the
contract the SEC ALREADY has with ESPN/SECN.

Geez

Just checked and MSU / Ole Miss each played in one CBS game this year - State vs. LSU and Ole Miss vs. Bama. So yeah this is a valid point.

About Leach adding millions in value?

The SEC is worth the $300 million with or without the pirate and would be complete dumbasses to reject CBS IMO
