Dude is a winner. And he has Louisiana roots and high school ties. He would have been a no-brainer in Red Stick

He doesn't really have Louisiana roots - his only time there is the time at ULL. But he does have great connections and high school coaches apparently like him and his staff a lot.

I'm gonna wait until our hire to see if I'm pissed about Florida getting him.
I wouldn't of minded him, but I think a lot of our fanbase thought of him as a high risk guy.

It might work, seeing as how Florida, Florida State, and Miami can’t keep any of the best players in-state, may as well take a coach who can make something from all the 3-stars.

He is a good coach. And a smart guy. He patiently waited for the job he wanted. Turned down Mississippi State and others to get a good program.

Pretty sure LSU already has their guy. Can't announce yet because meaningful games still ahead. That could mean NFL or college.

It's makes NO SENSE they didnt even WANT Napier. I don't think they'll ever hire another 'One of Them".

Terrible hire. He wont deliver anything at Florida that Mullen wouldnt have.
