No doubt the Pistol is hands down the greatest scorer in NCAA history. No argument there.

UA's Don Hutson > AU's Bo Jackson in football.

Hutson was probably the greatest NFL wide receiver of all-time until a guy named Jerry Rice came in and broke all of his records. Plus all of those pretty patterns you see wide receivers use today (crossing route, post, hitch 'n go, etc.) were almost all invented by Hutson.

Oh NO, if UF is going to participate you have to use Joakim Noah.

I haven't read through the entire thread but this is a legitimate question man. For basketball i can only go with Sprewell or Horry. Horry has Barkley beat on rings but doesn't have the same flamboyant personality. LSU fans can top you with Pistol Pete. For Football i go Paul Bryant of course. For baseball i think you have Bama beat but not LSU or Miss St. Valid question man.

You talking about the SC native by the name of Pistol Pete?

It would be hard to argue that he was not the greatest college player ever - he was fun to watch.

Video Top Ten Pistol Pete

Damn, am I really getting that old - I remember Pistol Pete like yesterday and I remember when no one had color TV and all phones were dial phones.

Sheesh

Nope, don't even try to claim him. If his dad wasn't hired at LSU he would have been Clemson bound.

Yep, I think Auburn stands out because we have a consensus Big 3 as far as the SEC goes.

Once again, I think the most pressing question is "who gives a shite?"

Seriously, why does this matter?

What NCAA records did Jackson set? It would have to be strickly freshman records because any other scoring record belongs to the Pistol.
