Who are you comparing to? You're pulling from two different schools, UCLA and USCw.

Barry Larkin is definitely better than Frank Thomas. He's got more than double the all stars and won more awards. All you're looking at is home runs. What about stolen bases?

and baseball is a tough thing, no one really knows where or if great MLB players went to college

but basketball isn't even a discussion or shouldn't be. Pistol will always be the greatest SEC player ever

Baseball is kinda like Olympic sports, maybe gymnastics? The really good players go pro immediately leaving college with everyone else

Sorry, but it was decided that the only way UF could participate was if they used Joakim Noah

Also, wouldn't Football be Spurrier?

This certainly did not go as planned. But who could have predicted that?

You know, as much as I hate to say it ... UNC could make a fair argument, I dunno:

Baseline drive? Pete mastered everything.

The Internet is where the line between children and adults is most needed, yet rarely honored. If you do not know who John Roche is, if you never saw him play, then you may wish to educate yourself before comparing the two and assuming anything about either one. John Roche and Pete Maravich were both great great players. Roche dominated the ACC in the days when there was the ACC and UCLA, that was it.

Nope, don't even try to claim him. If his dad wasn't hired at LSU he would have been Clemson bound.

First of all the only claim I made about him was that he was a native child of SC. Could give a shite less about the rumors that IF he did not go to LSU he would have gone to Clemson. We pretty much accept that as factual as Frank McGuire and Buck Freeman did not appreciate his style, and we were already loaded at guard ... you want to know some of the names he would have had to beat-out during his tenure at Carolina had he chosen to come here?

Bobby Cremins
John Roche
Kevin Joyce (Olympian)
Mike Dunleavy
Brian Winters
et al.

So what was your point again? I didn't get it, sorry.
