TCU's Gary Patterson's recent comments seem to suggest this might the future of college sports. Big programs can either recruit players from smaller programs or send recruits to small schools for a year or two of training.

I can see the pros and cons of such a setup. The small programs could see an influx of talent from bigger programs and it would allow the big schools to stock up on talent.

A negative for the big programs might be the athlete after receiving his training becomes a free agent to the highest bidder.

This would seem like something Nick Saban or John Calipari would especially excel at.

Saban said it. The rich are going to get richer by the new transfer rules and NIL. If anyone thought this was going to bring parity to the sport they weren't thinking

Exactly. Most thought this was a good thing for the boys to make some money(which I agree with) but it is now starting to sink in that this may not go the way they thought it would.

The big boys are gonna eat.

That wasn't the intent of the NIL, it's just an unfortunate byproduct.
