This is not a real question. So don’t take this discussion too seriously. All in good fun.

I live in Iowa City and am pretty plugged into the University of Iowa. In fact, my company has box seats on the 50 yard line that I choose not to use as I’m usually watching LSU or at the game.

If Iowa wants to play, which they do, is there anyway to include them?

Who is Iowa?: We are mostly a red state made up of farmers and healthcare workers. Iowans would like to join forces with the cult of common sense.

What does Iowa have to offer?: As lead negotiator, I have been informed that Iowa fans will not rub in the Drew Tate to Holloway Capital One bowl that wound up being Saban’s last game at LSU. They will concede that the SEC is better than The B1G. And will send 1 ton of corn bread to each school. They will also keep whooping Nebraska’s hinney so that LSU can secure Fidone’s recruitment.

Let the negotiations begin.

If Missouri can, why not.

The SEC, ACC, and Big 12 are still on the fence about a season, so why would they take on more liability with more teams?

Just doesn’t make sense. Plus I’m sure there would be contractual things that would be tough to iron out.

Feel bad for schools who’s athletic departments caved to political pressure. You can’t play with us but you can cheer for us.

Iowa’s President and AD fought to play this fall. I know Barta personally.. He called every other school to advocate for a fall season. Blame the blue states.

Did not know this. A little random though

Sankey has already come out and said that it would be impossible to add a school for 1 year. I'm not sure if he used that specific verbiage intentionally leaving the door open for permanent SEC additions. I would love to get Nebraska and Iowa.

Ours is better.

I would trade almost anyone for Missouri in a second

Iowa would be in that list

Only reason we took missouri was because of supposed support in KC and STL. That turned out to be quite false.

I'm allergic to corn. So frick you and the state you rode in on.

Really though i would love to see Iowa play some games with us. I like you guys a lot more than most of the other B1G members.

I put Iowa and Wisconsin in the same category. I love watching both play because it seems like they always have monsters on the O-line. I'd love to see Iowa get some SEC love.

Deep down I still hate them for the '05 capital one bowl though

What should happen is IOWA and Nebraska should join the big 12 this season, let the big 10 have 12 teams for spring football.
