Can Boom, Pruitt and Mullen survive winning 8-9 games per year?

Let's assume that going forward Georgia is an auto L most years. Let's also assume that they all go 1-1 among each other. Let's assume that Tennessee will continue to lose to Alabama, Florida will lose to LSU and FSU every other year, and South Carolina will continue to lose to Clemson. Add in another unexpected loss with all three and you are looking a t 8 wins at most. Will that type of record keep the fan bases satisfied?

Boom yes. The other two no

Boom can. That's much better than their historical average.
Pruitt and Mullen get run out of town in 4 years with those seasons.

Tennessee fans want to fire Pruitt before his game so I’m going with no

8-9 with an occasional 10+? Sure. 8-9 with 6-? No.

Gus has survived averaging 8-9 wins a year and snagged a very lucrative $49mm/7 yr guaranteed contract. So yeah, i think they can last at least 5 yrs.

No. That won't fly at UF for 4 years. I think we've made that clear with our last two coaches.

Boom-yes
Mullen-definitely not
Pruitt-that should be good enough at Tennessee but they have ridiculously unrealistic expectations.

The answer a resounding "YES" for Muschamp winning 8-9 games a year at USC.
And I'd go even further than that: since we have no idea what would happen to the USC FB program if they do get to winning 8-9 games a year (Spurrier got us to winning 9-11 gms a year for a brief period, but chose to ride that horse into the sunset, rather than try to build on it), one could assume that under a staff that actually tries to build off of that with strong recruiting, that USC could go even beyond the 9-11 wins that Spurrier got them to.
Everyone acts like Smart is better than Richt, but in truth he's gotten UGA no further than where Richt got them in his first 2-3 seasons as UGA HC, then we saw where he took them since then. At the time Richt was winning SEC titles, UGA fans were knighting him into Sainthood, LOL.
I'm just glad to see USC finally get a young coach with something to prove, that can coach and develop players, and places importance in recruiting, all in one package. Don't know if our program ever had that animal as a head coach before......ever......

So you’d be okay with something that looked like this?
2018: 8-5
2019: 8-5
2020: 7-6
2021: 8-5
2022: 9-4
2023: 8-5
2024: 7-6
2025: 9-4
2026: 8-5
For a few seasons that would be okay, but if we never got over the 9 win mark but fell below the 8 win mark (or worse) there’s no way fans wouldn’t be calling for his head at some point.

Not anymore...we're a basketball school now.

Mullen needs to average 10 wins a year, with an SEC Title every 2 or 3 years. Anything less bye Felicia. That’s the minimum to keep your job at UF.

Boom yes
Mullen definitely no
Pruitt.... Maybe?

He's so screwed.
I'm guessing that he's a consultant for Bama by 2023.

All 3 yes. I'd be delighted all things considered if BO won 8-9 games per year. Sad isn't it ?
