Dont need to win head to head, or division or conference. Just scoot right in and be fresh.
Yes please

You talking about losing a game during the regular season, getting left out of the conference championship game & still getting to play for the National Championship?
Hasn't that happened already?

1. Bama loses regular season game against Auburn
2. Auburn loses to UGA in SECCG
3. Bama & UGA make playoffs, Auburn fambly left home

You guys are really confident and haven't even sniffed a title in almost 40 years.
Sit down.

In order for this to happen, you need to add a step.
1. Auburn loses reg season game to UGA
1. Bama loses regular season game against Auburn
2. Auburn loses to UGA in SECCG
3. Bama & UGA make playoffs, Auburn fambly left home

So you want bama to get to the playoffs the same way bama got to the championship against LSU?
Dont need to win head to head check
division check
conference check

They are completely dissimilar. Alabama got in as the 2nd best team behind LSU. They were not chosen ahead of LSU, nor did they leave LSU completely out of the picture.
Ohio State was chosen instead of Penn State (not as a second to PSU), leaving Penn State out of the picture completely.
They aren't the same at all.

Ohio State was chosen because literally anyone with a functioning brain knew that Ohio State was the better team last year. Period. Forget their loss to Clemson that was not in the picture.
If Alabama is the better team we will also get in.
If anyone is the obviously better team they will get in.
The college football playoff committee has not gotten anything wrong yet

Oklahoma started it, but Bama kicked that door wide arse open.

If not for Iowa State, those glorious bastards, we would have walked away empty handed in 2011.

So it's happened before to bama. Just hoping whenever we need it the committee will be there for us. After all bama is college football. The rest of you are just poop stains.

I disagree. I think they’ve gotten it wrong in two of the three years.
2014
Ohio St got in over TCU
TCU was 3 in the second to last final poll. Committee dropped them to 6th in final poll.
Also an argument could be made that Baylor should’ve been in over Ohio St
2015
Probably right
2016
Ohio St got in over Penn St
A Penn St team that beat Ohio St and was the Big 10 Champs

I would call it the Alabama path since they did it first but I guess it's just personal preference
