Can a 2-Loss SEC Champ still make the playoff?

What if UGA drops one to Oregon, then another to Miss St (or whatever SEC opponent you think has the best shot), but then beats an undefeated Bama for the SECCG.
Or reverse it- Say a 2-loss Bama beats an undefeated UGA in the SECCG. Who goes and who gets left out?
There are some who say the conference champ games are an unnofficial round 1 of the playoffs. But then there's people who look at the body of work for the season, compare schedules, etc.
History shows us that a 1 loss SECCG loser still gets in. But a 2 loss winner?

That was BCS computer bullshite. I'm talking about a 4 team playoff decided by a committee.

2017 Auburn definitely was in if we had beat UGA

There is no case for anyone finishing ahead of LSU in 2007, it was just a weird year with a lot of parity.

BCS wasn’t decided by a computer numb nuts… the scenario is exactly the one you postulated except it was for final two, not four. Sorry if you don’t like the answer…
…oh… and a Georgia team that loses to Oregon and Miss State isn’t beating an undefeated Alabama.

This. We were number 2 going into the SECCG with 2 losses.

Of course they can, depending on what happens with other conference winners.
Auburn in 2017 was a mortal lock despite having 2 losses, had they won the sec.

No.. it would take some really special circumstances.
Even they don’t say this, all of the playoffs committees actions on playoff team basically go by this criteria in this order
1. P5 - Conf Champ- 0 loss
2. Notre Dame- 0 loss
3. P5 - Conf Champ- 1 loss
4. P5 - Non Champ- 1 loss
5. Notre Dame- 1 loss
6. G5 Champ- 0 loss
.. never made it past this..
7. P5- Champ- 2 loss
8. P5- non champ - 2 loss

2017 Auburn is a different scenario because their opponent in the SECCG also has a loss. So after the SECCG if Auburn had won, it would have been UGA with two losses and Auburn with two losses, it makes sense to give the nod to the SEC winner, particularly because the runner up would have lost twice to Auburn at that point. But they still would have let in 1-loss Bama.
The scenarios are different than what I painted in the OP.

If State has really good year and finishes 9-3 or better, then in that scenario Georgia gets in.
Also depends on what happens else where.

You would have, but the circumstances would have been truly unique, you would have knocked off #1 UGA and #1 Alabama in a 3 week span and beat UGA again for the Conf title.. most 2 loss teams would not have that.. and speaking to this year, it’s impossible for Oregon to be ranked number 1 when UGA plays them.. and there is no way in Hell MSU will be. UGA will be lucky to have 2 top 10 wins this year.

Don’t see how that changes things. If UGA was undefeated in that SECCG and we beat them, Auburn still would’ve been in. Only thing that changes is UGA would also likely be in.

You also forget that OSU had 2 loss and a BIG10 title, they knocked off Wisconsin who had 1 loss.

Even more likely now. The SEC champ would would still get in even with 3 loses now if they were to other SEC teams.

Is the question can a 2 loss SEC champ make the playoff? Or is it can UGA make it in that specific scenario?
The title of the thread asks the first question. The answer is 100% yes because we’ve seen a scenario where it definitely would’ve happened.
I’m not going to go into a specific hypothetical scenario and say whether they’re in or not just because it’s way too complicated to figure out. Too many other teams to factor in.
Auburns scenario that year wasn’t common but I wouldn’t say it’s ridiculous for another team to do the same. The teams in the West have that kind of schedule on the reg.

In 2007 the only teams with a better record were Ohio state and Hawaii.
UGA didn’t even win their division of their conference. Something that should prevent any team from playing in a 2 or 4 team championship series.
USC lost to a 42 point underdog at home.
VT was arse raped by lsu earlier in the season.
LSU was the only logical choice to get into the BCS
