Cam is a true generational talent, but all those hits start to add up. If he can’t play his game with the run, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Cam Newton's biggest problem is he is all about himself. That's why he ran around before and after games at Auburn with his "look at me, aren't I special" routine. I've seen the guy celebrate when he's doing well, even when his team is getting beat.

He's a generational player...sometimes. But even Auburn fans know he's not a generational QB talent. He does the job well, but nobody's gonna call him the best passer or signal-caller alive. His deal is the ability to bring a lot of disparate abilities together to make a very effective QB...sometimes. I'd take him in a heartbeat to lead my team as a player. He wouldn't be in the top 5 if I was just looking for the best QB. He's closer to Hurts than, say, Elway in terms of the type of QB he is, though obviously not in terms of actual talent.

Off-season of surgery and rehab he will be fine if his heart is in it. He's taken enough hits that I wouldnt blame him for retiring. He's carried the Panthers on back.He has enough money to do what he wants and seems to genuinely enjoys working with the kids.

Respect.

I don't get all the hate for him. He had a he of a season in 2010 and enjoyed every minute.

He also taught me not to text or call anyone until late in the 4th qtr . Valuable lesson.

I get what you’re saying, but let’s not forget he’s been on the same or better trajectory as any of the elites. The question with Cam is can he be an effective passer and move away from being a runner.

If he wants to be, my guess would be yes. He's a couple years in and gotten banged up and paid. It's how much more does he want to do. And getting that shoulder back. Did he rush it this off season?

No clue. First I’ve even heard he was hurt. I’m one of those CFB fans that cares nothing about the NFL

I would be worried if I was a Saints fan. Teams have been lighting up Carolina's secondary all year. Tonight they score 12 points.

Yeah. He was doing really well early on in his pro career and then just...I have no idea. Well, not much idea. My theory is that Carolina wanted the franchise QB but didn't want to build an offense that maximized Newton's effectiveness. Continuing my completely unsubstantiated theory, I wonder if Cam's performance at Auburn gave management (subconsciously, perhaps) the attitude that Cam isn't someone you needed to work overtime to give the best weapons and protection to because he was able to carry Auburn on his shoulders.

He is though. On passing ability alone.

Trash coaching and surrounding casts have limited him his entire career. There are maybe 3 QBs who have played concurrently to him that could've carried the offenses he's played on. They finally put together a solid group of receivers and now the Oline is worse than ever and his shoulder is busted.

"He's injured lmao. He could barely throw 10 yards"

Yep, that "limp wrist" is finally catching up to him.

Cam should seriously just sit out the last couple games. Playoffs are out of the question and the shoulder surgery needs to go ahead and happen (again.) Cam hasn’t had an offseason without surgery in a while.

Cam Newton might have a difficult time playing in NFL sometimes, but he ruled the college football field, period!!!

He hates Auburn and will turn us into the NCAA. He will never make it in the NFL. He is fake. (remember?)
