Cam does not play for Auburn anymore, is a grown arse man and has more money than most of us on this site. Cam is good for 10+ Pages on this site no matter the subject. It’s his right to dress the way he wants. I’m not in to judging people on the clothes they wear but I get the jokes about Cam especially coming from certain ethnicity groups.

The reason why they released me is because, indirectly, I was going to be a distraction, without being a starter. Just my aura. That's my gift and my curse. When you bring Cam Newton into your facility [and] your franchise, people are interested by mere fact of 'Who is he? Why does he wear his hair? Why does he talk? Why does he act? Why does he perform?' All these questions."

What about this isn't true?
He seems pretty self-aware to me. Cam Newton is a major distraction as a backup QB, and that's why he was cut. I don't see what's so controversial

Yet, even though he acts and dresses strangely and people comment on it you defend him. Do you think a grown man needs you to defend him? What does the amount of money someone make have to do with their acting strange? I mean, Howard Hughes acted strange, too and he had all kinds of money.

Yes it is. And it is the right of the posters on this board to comment on it. Nobody is saying he can't dress that way. They are just saying it is strange.

What does ethnicity have to do with anything? People on here made fun of Aaron Murray when pictures of him surfaced with a "man purse".

Stole a laptop at Florida...does that count?

The truth is he bought a stolen laptop. He did know it was stolen, but he actually didn't steal it.

I wonder why he threw the laptop out the window, then? Seems strange, but a lot of people in this thread does claim he is strange, so maybe that explains it.

He just up and decided to throw a laptop out of a dorm window when the police showed up because, well, because it seemed like the right thing to do.

But, you said he didn't know it was stolen.

And that was not one of the charges leveled against him. Also, he apologized for stealing the other students laptop to "Your Black World" magazine.

Cam Newton’s Shares the Lesson He Learned after Stealing a Laptop from His Colleague.

That seems odd, too.

I don't know why people can't just say their favorite player is a flawed individual. He isn't perfect and certainly has made some poor choices, but has since grown up and matured and has turned into a good citizen. I have seen videos of his treating handicapped kid to a cleat and autographing it for the kid.

He made a mistake. Don't feel like you have to turn him into a perfect human being, because those don't exist.

Not because he's weird though. NFL teams don't care about that shite. His career is done because his shoulder is toast.

This. I forgot who I was listening to but they explained it perfectly. It looks like it hurts when cam throws the ball. He was such a freak athlete that he never developed and worked on proper mechanics. Now his arm is shot and mechanics are still bad. He also has become extremely weird. Like he’s trying to appear intellectual, but he’s pretty dumb and not fooling anybody.
