A&M:

Bad: the town is actually crap with nothing to do except drink and eat terrible food. The stereotype of racism is pretty accurate especially in fraternity settings

Good: most people are humble as they chose A&M for its cheap tuition or because multi generation. Solid in multiple sports

I have zero complaints about Auburn or UAB. Both great schools in great towns.

How cheap is A&M?

UGA:

Bad: Our in-state rival is the superior academic institution. And 1980.

Good: Our women are up there with Ole Miss and LSU's co-eds.

I loved every second of LSU. Fun doesn’t even begin to describe it.

If I’m brutally honest, the campus isn’t very active.

Totally agree. LSU is a blast.

That Chimes street doesn’t have more going on and so much turnover is the main driver of this.

Anything bad about my college choice was solely because of my own bad choices. The school itself is good.

I preferred the "small town" atmosphere to that of Austin.

No, the redneck stereotype is accurate. The racism aspect is a small minority.

Absolutely nailed this take. I’m a recent grad, would have definitely loved a more interactive campus

Bad: too many folks going to games just to socialize. You know, the "hey, you in front, sit down - we cant' see" asshats that just want to be seen.

Good: love the city of Oxford - the food is awesome. Beautiful campus and, of course, the coeds.

LSU

Good: girls are hot, campus is full of beautiful oaks (underrated in my opinion)

Bad: off campus experience is one of the worst out there. anywhere north is full on hood, baton rouge falling apart. needs major improvement, or a nuke

UGA-

The bad: Affirmative Action policies are pushing a lot of smart white kids off to Kennesaw State and Auburn, having a 4.0 and 1300 SAT isn't enough anymore, if you are the wrong skin color.

The good: Great education in a variety of fields, great college town atmosphere and campus, 1.5 hours from mountain camping and trout fishing, 3 hours from beach, good football team and atmosphere, our male cheerleaders are only there to throw the little female cheerleaders up into the air to do flips and whatnot.

Good: the campus, town, and coeds are gorgeous. People are welcoming. Atmosphere is great 24/7 365days a year. Ole Miss is a fun place to visit/attend.
Bad: Ole Miss sports have shaved 10 years off my life.

Alabama has changed so much since I graduated I couldn't even begin trying to answer this. Although in some ways all that change to the student body and campus is kind of the good and bad.

Alabama

Good:
Fun atmosphere for students
Great sports
Some very good academic opportunities, especially in the business school

Bad:
Has effectively become the University of Alabama, Inc. Every decision is guided by how to extract the most money possible from donors, students, and even its own staff.

Has become so big that actual instruction has suffered, to say nothing of guidance or care for students as individuals.

If you are not on an extremely good scholarship and/or aiming to get one of the most lucrative majors, it does not make financial sense to go there.
