Would make him fifth highest paid coach in the nation.

The price to finish fourth in the SEC West has gotten out of hand, but I guess we have to do it with 18 starters coming back and recruiting going the way it is.

Could be enough to keep him. I don't think he goes to Tennesee. There's no advantage

Absolutely ridiculous to offer a guy that much money who has never won his division.

Would you take the 6 million knowing you'd have no chance to win a title?

I'm perplexed. I think Mullen is an excellent coach. A very good coach and has done well at MSU.

But he isn't worth $6 million. 2-4 against Ole Miss in the last six, and if not for Dak Prescott's inhuman heroics in '13, he'd be 1-5 in the last six.

Just looking at this is weird.

Highest paid coaches in nation:

1. Saban
2. Dabo
3. Jm Harbaugh
4. Urban Meyer
5. Dan Mullen (potentially)

Well he's gonna be a top 5 paid coach whether it's at State or Tennessee, so get used to seeing it.

Pretty impressive offer considering that the GDP for the state is only about $700.

It just shows how much money college football is bringing in to the top conferences.
