To celebrate LSU's historic hire, let's take a second to look back at some of Brian Kelly's most thrilling moments at Notre Dame.

Here's a great one from their 32-29 win over Toledo this past September. Wow!! Look at the excitement from the coaches when they recover the fumble and realize they're going to defeat the mighty Rockets!!

Toledo vs. Notre Dame THRILLING Ending

How many days is this melt about LSU's coaching hire going to last? Just wondering.

Again...for the umpteenth time...don't confuse smack with melt.

Notre Dame vs. Florida State OVERTIME FINISH

The Notre Dame vs. Florida State game was pretty epic too!!

Poor FSU. They didn't have much luck with close games and also dropped a thriller to Jacksonville State.

King Kelly has won 10+ games 6 of the last 7 seasons.

Ole Miss just had their first 10 win season ever.

I'm aware. And both of the links I provided reference two of Kelly's most thrilling wins from this past season.

Yikes. You guys sure are a sensitive bunch. Can't even compliment the guy's wins without you getting all defensive.

And he will consistently stomp a mudhole in Texas 8&4.

Congrats.

I know you autists have a tough time understanding nuanced social situations but it isn't generally the appropriate response to try to insult someone who is merely trying to compliment your coach.

Oof. That’s gotta hurt just as much as aggy fans realizing BK has beat LSU just as many times as their shite program has since they joined the SEC.

That is truly impressive until you dig deeper.

Wow they played Ga Tech!
How did they beat FSU in OT this year.
Toledo is an underrated power house
I don’t think OL Miss could handle that grinder of a ACC schedule.

I mean every year that is what he faced. I don’t blame him for wanting to reduce his stress and play in the SEC West.

Notre Dame has traditionally had one of the tougher schedules in the country.

Agreed. Which is probably why they only beat Toledo by 3 at home and needed OT to beat FSU. I'm sure they were just beat up from their tough schedule.

ETA: Oh shite whoops, I didn't realize FSU and Toledo were their first 2 games of the season.
