Why was he able to beat Nick Saban in his first year at lsu?

I don't see you guys crowing about what you think A&M is capable of with Jimbo as coach, since he was a 1/2 second away from doing exactly what LSU did.

True. Bryce went 0/0 passing, with 0 yards passing, 0 rushing, and 0 int. A&M definitely held him in check. Lol

Look what you did with Yaw Yaw as your coach.

It’s amazing isn’t it. He had the best season ever, and can not find a job anywhere else.

Yes. Last year's Bama team wasn't exactly great compared to prior Saban teams either

They won the sec championship, and were leading in the fourth quarter of the national championship.

Cool. 2021 and 2022 Bama teams are not as good as they have been in the past.

So you would say that neither LSU or Tennessee beat bama, rather Alabama beat themselves?

I know y'all are pretending to be dumb, but let's just substitute Texas for A&M.

No matter how much you want to believe, you know this isn't a typical Bama team. That's why BK won THIS year. I'm not saying he'll never beat a good Bama team. Maybe he will. I don't know. But, BK might have beaten this Bama team with his ND teams, and there's no way in hell he would have beaten a good Bama team with that LSU team this year.

Basically, I appreciate that you want that game to be more of an indicator than it was. But, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Cadillac coached AU team beat Bama this year. It's a bad team, by Bama standards. Who Saban fires will tell us if the run is officially over.

I guess that settles it then. Brian Kelly is better than the GOAT.

Brian Kelly will eventually do exactly what Saban did for Alabama, and that he would hv continued to do for LSU. Eventually Kelly will meet or exceed what Saban did making him the GOAT!

Texas is a good team when they have Ewers.

Bammers like you seem out of touch with the rest of CFB.

Where did you get that? UT and LSU both played great games and beat Bama. They both appear to be better teams than Bama in 2022.

I’m making a point, hopefully it will make you realize that the heisman trophy winner didn’t play. Lol

We do all, however, know that if/when bama gets beat it is solely due to that particular bama team not being any good. Lol that is a consistent fact.

It was most certainly an indicator, an uncomfortable one.

That is the rhetoric I have heard. That Alabama lost not because the other team was better/has improved, rather that this particular bama team is just not that good.

Why are we acting like saying Alabama isn't nearly as good as they've been is some sort of excuse for something? Alabama isn't nearly as good as they've been. Every football metric on planet earth says so, from wins and losses to offensive and defensive stats to penalties to net margins of games against other SEC/P5 teams.

2017 Ole Miss SUCKED. That is one of the reasons Alabama beat them 66-3. It doesn't mean 2017 Alabama wasn't good, not does saying Ole Miss sucked somehow make Ole Miss fans feel better about losing the game as if it was out of their control. They sucked because their coaching and players sucked. Alabama is worse than past years because their coaching and players are worse than past years.

You disagree? Kelly did this in year one, with a completely new team, new coaching staff, new qb… etc.

Saban had the heisman winner and a defensive star who was a heisman contender.

It’s going to only get better for lsu.

He said Kelly is going to have a run at LSU better than Saban's run at Alabama

I think it's fair to chuckle at that sort of statement at this point.

I said that UT and LSU are both better than Bama this year. I'm not sure what else you want to be said. So you think UT and LSU are worse teams who just happened to play a good game against Bama? Is that not saying Bama beat themselves?

I think it’s entirely possible. Not an easy feat, but there is a reason saban wanted to go back to lsu. He knew the potential.
