Yet, it'd be considered a massive upset if they went on the road and lost to a fifth year, National Championship winning coach, who has the 4th most talent in the country.
A team who was preseason #6 and was supposed to be a playoff contender.
What a time to be alive.

I think BK has outperformed what I anticipated at LSU this year. He is going to work out well in my opinion!

I am happy as hell with this season! We are way ahead of where I thought we would be at this point. The future looks bright no matter what happens next

Not that extensive anymore
His first recruiting class has us set and now the second one is top 5.
We'll enter 2023 top 10 unless there's a mass exodus if we win somehow win big

After Fl State I said we might make a bowl game. Very surprised.

I remember thinking this after Gus' first season. Good times.

If you don’t win any championships, is making a bowl game really all that great if you aren’t playing a big brand name team?

Is it like restoring a classic antique car ?
Year one, you assess components to begin rebuild.
Year two, you get the brakes beat off.
etc..

The difference is that Gus was playing with someone else's players.
More than half of the current LSU roster came here after Kelly was hired.

I’m gonna wait for cajunbama’s stamp of approval before I get too excited

He seems ahead of schedule but like I said before his biggest issue is he's never won any championships. We'll see if he can change that in the coming weeks.

LSU has never had a coach who had previously won championships, at least not in the modern era.
I don't expect him to do so this year either, LSU still has quite a bit less talent and depth than the elite programs.

He’s really supposed to win the national fricking title in year ONE?
I realize y’all don’t want LSU to be good but good lord at least kind of try to be fair.

There are only 4 active coaches who have and one of them is Mack Brown. There’s a first time for everything, just like LSU’s last three coaches.
Kelly was completed out-manned every chance he’s had. He should g have trouble getting better talent at LSU than he had at ND and Cincinnati

These 2 situations are not even on the same planet! Gus had a loaded roster, BK had 39 scholarship players! Everything BK has done at LSU this year he has done on his own ability not someone else’s

BK needs to win the big games. Whatever our bowl may be, we need to win that.
