Besides not winning enough, what else did Kelly do wrong to get fired for?

1. Terrible southerner impression
2. Never smelled a corn dog before
3. Likes miniature chihuahuas
4. Prefers episodes 7-9 more than 4-6
5. Lost to Vanderbilt
6. Doesn't like gumbo unless it has tomato sauce in it
6. Wipes back to front
7. Killed Kenny

It depends on why they’re attempting to fire him for cause. If he messed up bad enough I bet they still settle.

Unless that happened sometime between getting destroyed in Death Valley by A&M and the next day when they fired him that doesn't hold water. It actually doesn't work anyway because they didn't give him 7 days notice and a chance to respond, they gave him instructions on cleaning out his office.

It's bad enough that Brian Kelly might even win in a Baton Rouge court.

He has always struck me as more of a POS than all coaches are. They are all akin to politicians but Kelly always seems to be very fake....when Kirby Smart, also very like a politician, is pissed off it seems legit....when Kelly is pissed off it comes across as fake anger. I watched a little of the Netflix series with him in it and it came across even stronger on there, at least to me.

Having said that though I ain't certain LSU hasn't fornicated the canine on the hiring and firing of Jimbo I mean Brian Kelly....while what the governor as said is not entirely off the mark it certainly seems to place LSU in an untenable situation, especially coupled with them trying to low ball the a-hole.....LSU trying to negotiate a settlement is akin to making payments on your power bill...not a good look when you are trying to look pretty to soon to be millionaires who are 18 years old and their mama and daddy have dollar signs in their eyes and have personal experience with trying to negotiate a payment plan with the power company....

Someone signed an idiotic agreement.

It is rampant in the sport. Its not talked about much but LSU is an academic institute first and foremost and like all such institutes the academic side of things and the revenue driven by that side of the house makes the AD look like a side hustle akin to driving for Uber to earn some Christmas cash. At some point in time I sincerely think the damage done to the academic institute by handing out wads of cash to failed coaches is going to be eliminated by the Universities. I know its a different pot of money but the reputation is one and it belongs to the University. When some gazillioanaire is deciding where there research money is going to go, and that is a heaping pille of money compared to athletics at LSU and all universities, it is hard to imagine them not having a lower opinion of a school with an AD who squanders wads of cash.
