Gimmicks do beat Alabama and its an Achilles heel for Nick Saban. But there's a catch. They only work for one year.

But I love the people calling Bret Bielema and Nick Saban a pussy

Excluding Bret, half of the fans that are calling Saban a pussy haven't had their team beat Alabama in over a half decade.

Sounds like bad coaching.

For real. Just glad Alabama was able to overcome bad coaching and win BCS championships those two years.

I really wish Alabama could just find a coach who could handle the no huddle offense. frick this current guy.

you realize that there isn't a lick of that that's intended for more than a weak rebuff to your fellow posters over use of "gimick," to drive home a weak point, right?

Glad you're at least having a little fun with it.

Muschamp has said the same thing as Bielema and Saban.

I know, just messing around.

Fact is that Saban really doesn't struggle with HUNH any more than most coaches. He struggles with it relative to his defense against more traditional offenses, but most coaches do. That's why people use HUNH, and I don't blame them.

I don't necessarily love to see a game full of HUNH because you do see a lot more busted plays and people running wide open like it's arena football, but it is what it is and Saban has to, and I think has, prepared for it as well as most.

There is not a program in the Country that runs the hurry-up offense like my Ducks ( not even close ) but yet Auburn & LSU did very well. So what the heck are theses 2 coaches crying about.

Well Bielema, was on the losing side playing against the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl.

Tennessee did well in the first half 3 years ago.

Tell those two cry babies to prepare well, and things might work out!

That puzzie needs to get his team in shape and shut up.

Sounds like he is letting his team sit around and drink beer all summer.

Sumlin and the "Black Death" are working the heck out of their team.

This "rule change" will go nowhere. Spread and HUNH sell a hell of a lot of college football tickets!

Exactly what they are doing, plus taking advantage of women being a welcomed part of the student body since 1893.

Twitter has sure taken the brunt of their work outs.

If you are a program of the Texas Tech variety, you need a gimmick to sell tickets.

So what constitutes a "gimmick" play? I've always wondered.

Your ducks aren't going to be running the hurry up like they used to without chip kelly

It's funny bama and Arky fans are afraid of change. When was the last time you guys had a black QB?

Well, Blake Simms is our current back up

I think Andrew Zow was the last black starter we had

Gus runs that play maybe once a season. Any other examples of "gimmick" plays that are run more consistently?
