AL.com reported Monday that Bielema, a member of the NCAA's Playing Rules Oversight Panel, proposed a rules change that would create "a 15-second substitution period" after each first down to allow defenses to substitute. At the recent SEC spring meetings, Bielema framed it as a player-safety issue -- just as Saban did when asking for similar rules changes last October.

Just use the cramp defense like we did in College Station.

Bielema wants you to switch from IE to Chrome, cause you are way behind on your internews.

I agree with him.
In my opinion, a team should be able to use the no-huddle all they want, as long as they don't substitute. The moment they substitute, they are at an unfair advantage, because the defense has to react and substitute, and then rely on the refs to hold the snap up for them.
As long as the two teams are playing the men on the field, no huddle all you want. As soon as the offense subs, I think there should be a 15 second hold to give the defense fully enough time to counter.

It's a two-way street. It's game theory 'n' shite.

You realize there is already a rule like that in place don't you?

nd then rely on the refs to hold the snap up for them.

Then coaches like Hugh and Gus might have to actually coach football versus just running 400 fastbreak gimmicks every game.
