Bracket Matrix as of 2-28

Team (Overall) (Average Seed) (# of brackets included

2) Alabama (6) (2.04) (100/100)

4) Arkansas (14) (4.21) (100/100)

5) Tennessee (19) (5.32) (100/100)

7) Missouri (26) (6.92) (100/100)

7) Florida (28) (7.19) (100/100)

9) LSU (34) (8.62) (100/100)

Other
- Kentucky (12.0) (1/100)

- Ole Miss (12.0) (1/100)

When was the last time the SEC had basically 0 teams on the bubble? I can't ever remember going into the SEC Tournament with basically no teams straddling the cut line.

We will lose to Mizzou and Tennessee this week and place ourselves on the bubble.

If we average a 2.04 across 100 brackets, and I cannot think of a way any would consider us a #1 so that must mean we are barely considered a #3 in any either.

Then I clicked the link and see us as a #1 in two brackets and #3 in 6. So 92 brackets with us at #2. Only Ohio State's #1 seed is even remotely up in the air according to these predictions.

The plan to slip to a 10 or 11 is working perfectly. Not quite there yet, but on the way. Screw 8-9 seeds.

I don't see us losing to both. We have a weird way of losing to teams at home we should beat, but I think we find a way to at least go 1-1.

If Bama gets hot again I think they could be a Final Four team. Or they could get upset by some team they should absolutely skull drag in 2nd round.

I hope they play themselves back into form because they were a very fun team to watch (as long as you weren't playing them) when they were on earlier in the year.

This could feasibly happen in the first round. It nearly did the last time we were a 2 seed.

The defense should keep us in most neutral site games- but a cold shooting night for us and we can lose to anyone. On the flip side of that even Gonzaga could get it if we're hot from 3.

Good point guard play, good 3 point shooting, and long lanky dudes throughout the roster has and always will be the ticket in March. The third one is a constant. If you can get 1 of the other two going on any given night then you'll be in a game, get all 3 going and it's a tough out for anyone

I actually think the last month has shown that our floor for games where we don't shoot well is pretty high. We've shot terrible for a month and we lost 3 road games to Top 25 teams, 2 of them at the buzzer. We won all the other games.

We won't get past the Sweet 16 if we shoot like this, but I'd be pretty shocked if we lost to Siena in the 1st round. We'll smother whatever #15 we play, and we'll get shots at the rim and score. Generally the teams most susceptible to one of those crazy upsets are teams that play slow and allow the game to get shrunk.

I wouldn't predict us to lose in the 1st, but it's happened 4 times in the last 10 years with Duke and Villanova narrowly avoiding it as well (duke was also the victim of one of those 15-2 upsets in the famous Peej prediction game against Lehigh)

Yeah I don't ever remember a year like this.... sort of takes the fun out of it. Normally this is the part of the season that gets super exciting because we normally have 3-4 teams all sitting on the bubble so every game is huge. It seems this year, the cake is already baked for every team in the conference.

Lunardi had Texas the 4 in the same reigon as Tennessee, the designated 5. My God that would be a legendary second-round matchup.

But this is a Shaka-coached Texas team we're talking about. So short of Texas winning out and earning a 2-seed, most Longhorn fans are positive that Texas is losing in the first round to a team seeded 12-14. The man flat cannot coach basketball.

It really depends who the #15 is.

There are some huge disparities in #14-15 seeds when you look at KP. For instance, James Madison is like #175 and a #15 in one projection while Vermont is like #105 and a #15 in the same projection. On top of that, a lot of those leagues didn't play any OOC games or very few, so it's much harder to tell how good they are.

There are 2-3 teams who have the capacity to win a game like that, and the other 6-7 just really don't. Hopefully we get a "don't" team.

I'd feel a lot better if we were the 5th overall seed

Honestly at this point I just want to see us playing well when we finish up in Nashville. If we're doing that, we'll be fine wherever were seeded. If we're not, seeding won't matter much.
