Let’s say hypothetically, that one of the biggest boosters of a college football program owns a construction company. He gives lots of money to the football program and is involved in much of the decision making regarding things like hiring coaches.

This program also happens to be planning a renovation of the football stadium at an estimated $400-500 million that will involve things like adding wheelchair ramps, adding setbacks, and building a new kitchen for their stadium.

That booster who owns a construction company is awarded a huge contract to be “involved” in that stadium renovation project.

Is it really donating money to the program if that person ends up profiting 3x-5x over in an upcoming construction project that was awarded to him surreptitiously and recently revealed by people digging into the paperwork around the project?

Are there any ethical or possible legal dilemmas in this scenario?

No happens everyday, everywhere.

Only issue is if you are a state university which has (supposedly) to bid out everything. However shite happens all the time.

Take a break, man. It's over, UF hired a coach. You or anyone else aren't going to be able to Schiano/Tennessee the guy. I don't think anyone is overly excited about the hire. But, he's our coach wheter you or I like it. The silver lining is Stricklin will never make another football hire. If Sumrall fails, he'll have to be gone.

Im honestly warming up to sumrall a little

Skeptical but at least he has a personality even if he ends up sucking as a coach

But I won’t quit going after Gary Condron or Stricklin and the UAA until it’s all cleaned out
