His wife says it was done as a precautionary measure and that he feels weak, but is doing otherwise ok.

He was tested while in the hospital. Result didn't come back until Saturday. He picked it up while he was in the hospital.

Actually, the younger of the two brothers, but I share your grief. Van Halen was my favorite group in high school and college. Saw them twice...once in Mobile and once in Biloxi.
