So the best expert on horse racing said it was wrong. When you train 2 triple crown winners your opinion should matter.

Have you seen the quality of posts and general lack of content lately? The fact that the derby takes place in a SEC state and UK incorporates derby/horse racing themes into their uniforms and university identity is close enough.
Not much is going on in SEC sports right now.

Yeah but I just don't care for college baseball (not just saying that as a standard response). The game is too slow paced. I do like to watch softball though -- the game is much faster. I don't mind watching CBB in person but it's not TV-friendly to me. Softball is just more entertaining on that front and even then I'm not as into it as basketball or football. If it's on, I'll watch it but it's not something I'm seeking out.
IOW, yeah, I can go all casual fan with softball for a little bit but it's not much in the way of basketball/football methadone. The offseason truly sucks.
