So as an SEC school, most of us are expecting our defense to hold onto a lead when up by 9 or more (2 possessions) in the 4th quarter.
Lets take a look at how many times each school has had a lapse in that SEC defensive expectancy, and who should be most ashamed of themselves.
2+ Possession Leads Blown in the 4th Q (2008-2017)
1. Florida: 0
1. Vanderbilt: 0
2. Alabama: 1
2. Auburn: 1
2. Mississippi St: 1
2. Kentucky: 1
7. LSU: 2
7. Missouri: 2
9. Tennessee: 3
10. South Carolina: 4
10. Ole Miss: 4
10. Georgia: 4
13. Arkansas: 5
14. Texas A&M: 6
-There goes Vanderbilt outsmarting all of us again... if you never lead by 9 or more in the 4th quarter, the odds of blowing said 4th quarter lead is equal to zero.
-Texas A&M... why?

At least 3 or 4 of these have to be from the 2011 Mike Sherman season

It helps when you don't often have 2+ possession 4th quarter leads.

Surprised it’s only 2. I was thinking we were up by more against Arkansas late in 2011. UCLA and OM were obvious ones. Totally forgot about that Colorado game. Gonna go stare directly into the sun now bye

3 of the 4 did. The only outlier is 2010 Kentucky. Not bad since that enigma is confined to only one season though.

You forgot the Atlanta Falcons.

I would have thought Ole Miss would have at least one per year. Four is surprisingly low.

Was Alabama s one, the national championship game against Clemson? Or Camback?

The National Championship game against Clemson.

So I'm guessing LSU's are 2008 Arkansas and 2012 Clemson?

The TAMU meltdown against UCLA might relieve MSU of the worst, just because they were up so big.
However, MSU's one was against South Alabama a couple years ago. Mullen's infamous shorts game. We lead 20-7 in the 4th and lost. So.............yeh, ours is probably worse.

Exactly

Yea. The Arkansas game is listed due to the technicality that LSU was leading by 9 when the game went to the 4 Q. Arkansas kicked a FG to pull to within 6 when the clock was still at 15:00.
