Watching College Gameday and they mentioned that Bill Snyder had the opportunity to leave Kansas State for LSU. The statement was that he “absolutely would have won national championships at LSU.”

Would Snyder have been LSU’s Saban?

Snyder at LSU would have been unbelievable. I’m glad he turned them down.

On second thought, it might not have worked. Snyder is man of impeccable character, and the culture of LieSU might have caused for too much tension between him and the powers-that-be.

Snyder is an overrated loser that took a terrible team and made them mediocre. That’s not hard to do in the Big 12

Snyder is overrated. He’s a control freak and that works fine at K-State but would’ve been a disaster at a major football school

You’re insane. He took the worst program in D1 football and had them on the cusp of competing for a national championship.

Snyder would have averaged 3 or 4 losses a year at L8U.

Hmmmm...workaholism and control freak...I wonder if any great coaches at major programs share those tendencies...

Golden from the fan of a school that is widely regarded (historically) as having one of the dirtiest athletic departments in the NCAA.

Maybe only 5 programs have had more major infractions. Am I wrong?

Aggy should probably be quiet when the subject of character is being discussed.

He wouldn’t have fit in at A n Em either.

He’s heterosexual.

Even in his best years he would beat 1 or 2 ranked teams. He’s a fraud that only succeeded because everyone around him was having down years.

I’m assuming this would have been during the ‘90s. People are kidding themselves if they don’t think Snyder wouldn’t have made LSU elite. The SEC West was terrible during the ‘90s and LSU didn’t play Tennessee from 1994-1999. They only would have to worry about Bama and Florida every year. They would have been a perennial 10-2, 11-1 team under Snyder.

Snyder maximized the potential of the Kansas State football program. When you consider where they were when he first arrived, his record there is a tremendous accomplishment. From 1992-2003, they were among the best and most consistent programs in all of college football.

Bill Snyder is in the Hall of Fame of NCAA coaches. They don't let you in the Hall of Fame if you're a fraud.
