It was Stacey Danley, the running back. OSU reaction pissed off Auburn who proceeded to kick their arse. Pat Dye talked to him and Danley walked off the field on his own.

Watching all these plays—who taught these idiots to tackle someone’s head?
I’m sure it makes for a great lick here or there, but how many times did they try this and not even manage to get the ball carrier on the ground?
Go low and fricking wrap them up!!!

yes jack arse ,we all know Auburn won the game ...that is not the point though is it ? The point is ,the dude from Auburn will be forever remembered as the the cat who got knocked the frick out by one of the biggest hits in CFB history . No one remebers the score or who won , they remeber that the dude was almost murdered bc his QB threw him in front of a silver bullet.

That TCU WR woke up in the hospital with his jaw broken in 3 places. Quentin Coryatt was ridiculous in his prime, 6 foot 3, 250, and ran a sub 4.5 as an ILB. Drafted #2 overall.

We beat them 26-8 or something like that and it was not as close as the score. It was one of Cooper's OSU teams that scored 50 points per game too.

It was 31-14 and defense shut them down in the second half. Reggie Slack completed his last 12 passes in a row, but didn’t pick on Dumas as much as he did to the other DB- Mark Pelini.

To be honest, not many people remember that hit OR who won the game. Ohio State and Auburn fans of a certain age i guess. I don't know many people who know college football that are going to say... " oh yeah... that rather irrelevant big hit in that non big 4 Bowl game 30 something years ago (had to look it up)... that was one one of the most iconic hits in college football history!"
