I’m actually going to go off the grid a bit here with ours.

2015 UGA.

SOMEHOW this team only lost 3 games. We were awful at times. We had a very easy schedule I guess. The way we played we were lucky to make it to a bowl game

2013 UGA is also a weird one. Had a lot of the pieces from the 2012 top 5 finish, but was seriously plagued by injuries. We lost 5 games but other than losing to Clemson close in the opener, we were on a tear early.

2009 Florida - Refs won the game against Arkansas, Alabama completely dismantled them and then they beat an overrated Cincinnati team in the Sugar to finish #3.

2010 Alabama - Finished 4th in the SEC-W, but still managed to finish at #10.

2010 Auburn - This is a tough one, because I do think Auburn deserved the national title, but I don't think 2010 Auburn was a great team. They had help with the refs all year and won 5 games by 3 points or less, including the national championship game against an underpowered Oregon team.

South Carolina/Texas A&M - Too many to list.

What if I wrote Brennan’s awesome and yall’s o-line will be surprisingly effective even tho 4 new starters on it? Then what?

First off we don’t have 4 new starters, we have 3 and second Brennan just needs to be serviceable not awesome. If Brennan is serviceable we have a shot at the playoffs

Fair enough. 3 first time starters on an o-line still a ton.

Why most publications claiming its 4 new starters then? Not trolling, for real just wondering

I guess they haven’t really done their homework if they claim it’s 4

Not to mention I think we have a couple of freshman that will be better than what we had! We have an awesome OLine coach in Cregg. He will have them ready

2010 Auburn had one of the smallest average margins of victory for national champions I can think of (17.1). But it's hard to call them lucky when they had Newton and Fairley.

2002 OSU had an average margin of victory of 16.2! Very talented team, but still borderline lucky. Their only game I saw was the Fiesta Bowl vs Miami. Paging VABuckeye

2012 Texas am
It was their best season in Multiple generations.
They haven’t had a season as good since

They shouldn’t have had as good of a record that they had. I can’t fathom how they beat both Auburn and Bama. LSU and Florida still smoked them though. It was definitely a fluke for them to beat Bama and Auburn in the same year.
And
It will be a long time before they go 11-2 again.
At least another generation or two.

Manziel's career was kind of fluky in general. He was a good scrambler, but he was often throwing it up for grabs and Evans or Swoop would come down with it

and it isn't even close. Amazing what a functioning offense will do. Glad that wizard is in Carolina.

Almost forgot 2007 LSU. Lost to 2 teams that finished the season unranked, including their final home game, and still luck into the national championship game.

2012 Florida defense was elite, not very good.

Stud players everywhere and a future Super Bowl winning DC coaching them.

If we had any kind of offense we could have won a title that year...argh
