I searched and didn't see anything about this on here.
Big East suggests Two or none model for Men's BB
I think this is a great idea. I'd rather them go with the baseball model and do 3 but I'll take the two. Players good enough to go to the NBA out of high school should be able to go and make their money but kids who go to college should go for at least two years. I hope it happens, it'll make both the NBA and college better in my opinion.

How is that going to work when a player can lie about staying 2 years? He can just quit after 1 year and get drafted.

I agree but it's still better than the one and done method.

Baseball model is much better. Straight out of HS or to college for three years. It would make the NBA better and College Basketball better as well.

In this case, the NBA would agree to not draft anyone that has signed up for two years of college. The guy is welcome to quit, but he will need to go to the D League or Europe or somewhere else.

Right, the NBA would have to change a rule. It would have to benefit the NBA too. They don't care about the NCAA.

Works for me. Let the league draft them and place them in the G-League if they aren't ready

I disagree. as a college sports fan I like the best athletes possible competing.
everyone on here is so defensive about the rest of the coutnry not giving a shite about college baseball, because everyone knows the very best most likely skip college. making high school baseball players go to college would greatly improve college baseball's reputation

Well I do think they care about the NCAA. The far majority of NBA players still come from the NCAA. I think this change would benefit them as well as the colleges as well as the players.
Kid is great in HS. By all means, go straight on to the league. If he chooses college, 3 years. That takes the pressure off them to perform for one year. It allows them to develop athletically and pursue their academics for a possible career in the real world. We all know only fraction of college athletes make it pro.
After 3 years, if they wish, they can make the jump to the NBA or stay one more year.
NBA gets a better player after three years of college or they get a superstar out of HS.
Colleges win with a more stable roster without the turnover we see with some of the schools (Kentucky in particular).

I really don't care about 1 and done. Rules changes will make the game better. 4 quarter is a starting point.

Support this as well. Maybe our teams would be more, consistent during the season

NBA would be the determining party of this. Zero schools can do

The reason the NBA went to one and done rather than straight out of hs was because of hs players being a flop. College is their trail and error. The age of basketball is so young. At the age of 24 or 25, your considered a veteran. I just don't see how this changes anything unless the NBA changes their rule.

I would rather the 3 or none, like baseball, however I've heard some "experts" try to explain that the 3 and done just won't work, however the 2 or none, or 2 and done, could work.
