With two Big 6 matchups taking place this weekend in Auburn @ Florida and Georgia @ Tennessee, let's revisit every team's all-time winning percentage against the BIG 6 in SEC Play:

62.37%- Alabama (176-104-11)
50.34%- Florida (145-143-6)
48.10%- Auburn (147-159-10)
46.74%- Georgia (125-143-8)
45.49%- LSU (101-122-10)
45.29%- Tennessee (104-127-13)
34.78%- Missouri (8-15-0)
33.90%- Ole Miss (96-191-8)
32.30%- Arkansas (36-76-1)
27.27%- Texas A&M (6-16-0)
26.70%- S. Carolina (27-75-1)
20.06%- Kentucky (64-267-8)
19.09%- Vanderbilt (57-256-9)

Aggies- as the Piggies and Gamecocks can attest- if you fall too far behind right out of the starting gate, you may never catch up. With likely losses coming this season to Alabama, LSU, and Georgia, you are in danger of falling to just a 24% winning percentage against the Big 6.... which would be 19 games back from a .500 record. Each year of falling further behind makes it less likely you'll ever be considered "Big 6" eligible.

Yes, in a decade or so if Tennessee doesn't get their stuff together, the debate about whether it should just be the "Big 5" might start to become more necessary. But A&M is making not real effort to insert themselves into being a replacement.

Difference here is really just the number of times each team has played Bama.

Florida avoided VOLS during their heyday and Bama altogether. Same w/Georgia.

Do those percentages include all of bammers forfeits?

For all their cheating and NCAA punishments.

Yes I believe so. It includes only games since 1933 sine that is when the SEC started. And it only includes games played by the 4 newer members once they joined the league.... no prior contests are included.

I was just trying to clarify the numbers. It’s hard to keep up with the number of (double digit at least) games that have been forfeited for cheating in recruiting and with players signing with agents at the capstone.

Thanks so much Kyle.

Who the hell cares about win forfeits? It’s just a silly NCAA thing.

every team's all-time winning percentage against the BIG 6 in SEC Play:

that won't be correct for Alabama because some suit in a ncaa office decided Alabama should forfeit or vacate some games won on the field.

Not fair for Tennessee. They can’t play themselves!

this is a lie, we played Bama every year up until 1963 and ALWAYS played GA Tech, who was 2nd or 3rd best team in SEC back in the day

So you quit playing Bama right when Bear was getting his dynasty rolling at Bama?

You just made UGA look even worse by trying to defend them
