Not chump change, but not impossible for either one of them.

That’s chump change to a&m. I imagine it’s just pennies on the dollar for the flagship school

First and second-tier media rights still belong to the conference for the next 4 years. That's a bit more $$ than any buyout.

You know it is real when the conference has to make this statement

Yep. 76 million is just the buyout and does not release them from the grant of rights. The only way I see this happening in the next couple years is if 4 more teams find new conferences and all 6 collectively vote to not enforce the buyout or grant of rights.

I said this elsewhere but I bet this is never needed because once the OU+UT shoe drops the next one to drop is about half of the 8 remaining finding new homes ASAP.

That’s just petty cash for Texas. Doubt they blink an eye.

It's humorous to see how both the Big 12 and aggy are equally desperate for the exact same outcome. Both are scared absolutely shitless.

Aggy, should we throw a line out to the Sunbelt for you? We all know if you can't thwart it, you're just going to look for the quickest exit strategy...

Even if Texas doesn't come, the entire conference sees how truly yellow bellied y'all actually are.

Texas would write the check for Oklahoma too if it means they get to join the SEC

Yeah it’s likely over $100 million each total.

I’d believe it. Will be interesting to watch the other conferences & A&M melt.

They will sue to try to buy time for the conference to implode further.

Gotta defend the yell-leaders on this one. Being the only SEC brand in the state of Texas is a HUGE value. Aggies have made it clear they would love nothing more than to play Texas every year.....just don't want them in the SEC. Its very rational.
