That’s hypothetically not a terrible football conference. Utah, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Washington is a decent Big 5

Feel a bit bad for Oregon St and Wash St fans. They’ll likely be relegated to the MWC

Based on pending legislation Oregon and Washington aren’t going anywhere without osu and wsu

And merger betwixt PAC and BDF is off the table because Cali schools want nothing to do with BYU mostly , Baylor to a lesser degree (per Twitters)
Also ND staying independent.
Oregon and Washington to B1G

Utah Colorado AZ AZ st to Big 12 seems like a seamless move. big 12 may have to tAke Ore st and wash st to get wash and Oregon. The Cali schools don’t fit anywhere but in a Cali league with their far left politics in state and on campus.

Exactly. That’s why the BigXII will take 8 (including Wazzu and BeaverU) or they will take 4 (no Washington or Oregon teams. I think tge Ducks and Huskies are worth the extra baggage.

I still think Stanford ends up with a Big 10 invite for a Bay area presence, another elite academic school, and their strong Olympic sports. They fill a niche. Cal probably ends up being absorbed by the Mountain West and becomes a G5 school.

The BigXII needs to try and find a way to uninvite UCF and West Virginia. Neither fit in their footprint and probably not their culture and the travel is impractical. That would mean their easternmost team would be Cincy (who could also be univited) with their emphasis in the Southwest and West.

Stanford to the Big makes sense....I think the Big 12 keeps everyone they can and adds teams probably Utah color as az st and maybe Oregon Oregon st wash wash st....I think the new commish sells the tv rights to Apple or Netflix or splits the rights to those two....

The Big12 would stomp the B1G.

Texas left the conference, then the Big 12 stabilized, and now it is elevating its profile.

Anyone think that is a coincidence? Good thing the SEC has enough heavyweight programs to keep Texas and its ego in line.
