I have never seen recruiting anywhere near the level we are seeing it now. That doesn't mean everything Saban does is perfect or that Miami isn't talent-rich. I just can't make myself worry about anything to do with recruiting at this point.

I don't give two shits. I'm a Dolphins fan but Nick Saban is not important to me. We have five picks in the first three rounds in April. I have gone many days in a row without even thinking about Nick Saban.

The question was asked "why is he hated down there," and I simply answered because I'm familiar with the sports temperament in that area. Not because of my own feelings.

I listen to the local radio guys. Some are well connected (like Joe Rose). They know a hell of a lot more than you and I am passing along their STATEMENTS of fact of what is happening, so you should probably just shut up and quit arguing.

Again, the same Jose that's currently employed by the Miami Dolphins and is a former player?

That's unbiased

Not to mention you're referencing an unspecific intangible medium.

Correct.

I would say I wouldn't expect a rivals fan to be up to date on everything Bama, but Auburn fans are always up Bama's arse waiting for the smallest squeak.

Y'all really do get as defensive as they say when it comes to this man.

Where did he have time to reiterate over and over after the last game that he would not take the Alabama job?

Was there not time in between him walking off the field in Indy and when he met with Moore? I'd say I knew people in that locker room and media room at the time, but I'm sure that'll just be scoffed at and get name called.

ETA: LET ME REITERATE
I'm not posting anything negative about Saban from me personally. So gumps, settle down.

A question was asked and I answered it. I'm done.

I love people who know people. I know people, too, specially people who are friends with the Sabans in Tuscaloosa. And they tell me that, as of December 31, he had every intention of returning to Miami in 2007. Mal Moore, however, got a hold of Terry Saban and made a passionate plea to her to have Saban meet with him. It was Terry Saban who convinced Nick to hear Mal Moore out. Once he heard what Mal had to say, Saban became intrigued.

Yep. And the same one that knows a hell of a lot of high school coaches in Dade. I'll take his informed opinion over your ignorant one 10/10 times.

And why are you still arguing? Are you that determined to prove you know nothing?

Even after the facts speak for themselves... 1 player signed in 7 years. 1 out of about 175 from the most talent rich area in the United States when a LOT of the guys are not signing with Miami anymore?

WTF makes you think Saban IS recruiting this area well during his time at bama?

So what are you arguing? That's exactly what I'm telling you. Even after walking off the field vs. Indy he was telling people he wasn't leaving.

I don't care what went down after that. Again, I'm answering a question with public perception in South Florida, because it came across as a lie.

3/4 tells me he is doing just fine in recruiting. If we aren't getting he S FLA recruits because they don't like Saban so be it. I think we'll be just fine

And that player had a very high impact in his freshman year. He broke the freshman receiving record set by Julio Jones in 2008 and became one of only a handful of UA receivers to hit 1,000 yards receiving on the season.

He also set the single season reception touchdown record for the school.

Mario, because OL coach is a lot less in the spotlight than OC. Both good hires, though, IMO.

This. Both upgraded the position substantially though.

Yep. They are still pissed. And the talk show hosts here add feul to the fire when the subject comes up. They keep it stoked when Saban is discussed.

I can see this for the first eighteen or twenty months after he left Miami, but six fricking years later? Even the most diehard Auburn fan has to throw a casty on that.

I love how you say this facetiously when you posted the exact same thing.

You know it's not far-fetched right? I'm still wondering what it is you are arguing when you yourself said your acquaintance told you Saban wasn't leaving as of 12/31/06?

Something like, "I've got a job to do here and I'm not gonna address rumors." And every time he was asked after say "I've already addressed this."
