It all depends who is the HC. Since Cristobal will have Saban crawling his arse every day I will say Cristobal.

Pretty sorry excuses for a person and teachers then. Limiting the opportunities of the kids like that.

Well, Saban apparently treated a lot of people poorly when he was here. You would be shocked about how people call in with stories about how he was an arse to them or someone they know whenever he is discussed here.

Bama could do better if not for the Saban hate. A LOT better

Man if only we could get some more players from Miami we might could actually start to win some football games...

Cristobal. Why? Because it helps to further open up the fertile recruiting grounds around Miami, especially Dade County.

He may turn out to be an AWESOME offensive line coach but I have to assume Saban hired him primarily because of his connections to high schools in the Miami area.

Please, they are just looking for attention. I guarantee most of the people that call in never met him.

Are people seriously still discussing how Saban treated them on talk radio in Miami. Seriously?

Yep. Saban wants back into Dade. He is well aware the best talent in the country per capita is in Dade county.

And if anyone can open those doors, it is Cristobal. We will see if it happens though.

Miami is a great place to recruit, but considering you're fighting 3 major in state schools plus the Dolphins history with Saban, I don't see the point in making it high priority.

We are more than making up for it in Atlanta. :)

"Well, Coach. Even though you have won 3 out of the last 4...are putting kids into the NFL at a crazy fast rate..I'm going to let a pro team deal from over 6 years ago guide me. I'm not going to let you speak with little Johnny."

I'm sure that is along the lines of what these coaches will be saying.

Two words: Amari Cooper.

He came from Miami and look at how invaluable he was to Alabama's offense this past season.

Yep. They are still pissed. And the talk show hosts here add feul to the fire when the subject comes up. They keep it stoked when Saban is discussed.

Saban is really discussed much down here anymore though. College football is about 4th in topics of discussion in general. Fins, Heat, Marlins are daily topics of discussion. College football not so much unless something is going on with the U.

I am just saying when saban is mentioned, both hosts and callers still jump his arse about everything (real or imagined).

Suure, whatever you say

Saban was banned from St. Thomas Aquinas because the coach had a relationship with the Shulas.

quote:

All the talk radio guys here still bash him and people call in every time he is mentioned here (which isn't very often to hate on him).

Glad programs aren't built around radio personalities and people who call into radio shows. I assume you value Finebaum and his callers that high as well?

quote:

Joe Rose has an am morning show and he has mentioned several times how many HS coaches here do not want saban near their school. And Rose is the biggest recruiting fanatic on the air anywhere in South Florida.

He's also employed by the Dolphins and formerly played for them. Bias much?

Not fishing at all. Just telling you how it is. Just because you do not like it, doesn't mean it isn't true.

How else do you explain Saban pulling 1 player 7 recruiting classes from the 2 most talent rich counties in the US?

Maybe he didn't rank them as high as Rivals/Scout/247 did and he got #1 classes from elsewhere? Seems like he knows what he is doing in recruiting unlike Randy Shannon and that bunch down there...
