Better all time basketball program: LSU or Bama

Let’s end this crap now. LSU has more NCAA appearances, four final fours, and the second most all time SEC championships. Bama leads the all time series versus LSU, has the second most wins all time in the sec, and has more sec tournament championships. The two programs are very similar, but I would give LSU the nod because of the NCAA Tournament success.

I’ll admit you have the advantage because of the Final Fours and we’ve never gotten over the hump. Sweet Sixteen has been our ceiling except for the one season Gottfired got lucky and went to the Elite Eight. We’ve had some horrible damn luck in the Dance running into Knight’s undefeated Indiana squad, Pitino’s Providence team and his sharpshooter, Billy Donovan.
But you have to admit, LSU has been a dumpster fire in recent years. I’d love to know the all time records of the two schools and I bet we’ve either gained ground or widened the gap, depending on who leads.
