Really not sure when.

Plainsmen fans here on the rant are in rare form. Despite multiple threads from multiple schools I've yet to see much if any melt.

They KNOW they have a very good team. So congrats on a great game, I truly expect both teams to make deep runs in March.

This might not be a popular opinion amongst my fellow Hogs, but we don't win that game away from the Bud. BWA had Barn rattled, especially at the FT line.

We have no reason to melt. We had a good chance to win and came up a little short in a very hostile environment to a team that's been playing well. I think Auburn will rebound just fine. Good luck to Arky the rest of the season.

No doubt about it. BWA was a 10 pt bump. Place was rabid last night. I even saw a set of dentures go flying.

No melt. I think most thought it was going to a close game due to the environment, then when Jasper didn't make the trip, it was going to be much harder. The fact it was an OT game on the road to a good team only reinforced the teams abilities.

Hard to project. Hog didn’t hit a field in the final 8.5 minutes of the first half and had numerous shots go halfway down or roll off the rim especially in the second half. How often does that happen and you still come away with a victory. Offense was not good but still won.

The Arkansas offense isn't explosive but I rather have a good defense than a good offense that could have some off games.

Auburn out-rebounded the pigs 60-42 and made 30 FGs to 23 for pigs. This game was won/lost at the stripe (not a knock on officiating, which was curiously inconsistent in what they called, but did not favor either team) and because AU had 19 TOs vs 8 assists. The crowd won the former (AU has won plenty of games at the stripe), and not having our starting PG was the reason for the latter (he is 5:1 on the season, and Green is a 2 that gives us good sub minutes at the 1).

Most Auburn folks have had this one pegged for a while as a likely (or at least the most likely) loss. Glad aTM and Vandy at home are the next two games. Hard to imagine a better rebound/reset scenario.

I hope that's the case because man it was ugly. The misses weren't even close.

Hogs shot more free throws. Probably because Auburn fouled more including several internationals late in the game. Auburn also missed the front end of several 1and 1’s. In reality Kessler got away with several no calls which kept the game close.

I thought both teams fought their asses off. It was a tournament style rough and tumble game that will benefit both teams greatly. Auburn could've won easily if they don't lay eggs on the line and throw up horrible shots after dribble dribble dribble. Arkansas shoots even remotely decent in the first half the game isn't close at half. That's what 2 teams with great defenses do and exactly what you see late in the tourney. Both these teams are sweet 16 teams and Aubby with their length has a great shot at a final four regardless of draw. Arkansas will need some favorable matchups to do that.

Great game Aubby.

He also got tagged with a couple of anticipation fouls that weren't fouls. Both things happen to all bigs, and when the refs swallowed their whistles, both teams were getting away with no calls.

OT games are always fun. More so if you are on the winning side. My favorite game was Bruce's first season (2015) at AU when Auburn played LSU in the SEC tournament. Auburn made a buzzer beater 3 to go to OT and then won. Thats a game you don't forget.

I’m not sure why people expected us to melt?

We went into the game knowing it would be tough. Plus it’s basketball so one loss isn’t going to kill us. We’re still a 1 seed and at the top of the SEC

Yea we aren't spoiled with seasons like this, and we're used to ups and downs, so why melt... love BP and what he's done with the Bball team. Can't be mad about it...

Congrats on the win and hope we beat you next time we meet.

Biased take but the SEC Championship last year was a banger

I didn't get to watch the game because it LSU was on at the same time. I would think the SECT final between LSU and Bama from last year is probably a candidate.

That SECT CG last year was an all-timer. Back and forth, clean game, tons of elite shot making, great players on the floor, intensity.
