Arguing about subjective things is dumb, how about we just eat at all the places nominated and enjoy the hell out of it.

Meh, the new Orleans scene is VASTLY overrated. I've not had the first meal in New Orleans that I thought was the best. The highlands, I would take any day of the week and twice on Sunday over anything I've had in nawlins. If u like the Creole, gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya, blah blah thing then u like nawlins. Not all of us think that shite is the alpha and omega.

No one, and I mean no one, goes to Alabama for food. Hell the best known restaurant in Alabama (Lambert’s) originated in Missouri. If you’re suggesting that the state of Alabama is in any way close to the state of Louisiana in regards to food, then you’ve either never been outside the state of biscuits and gravy (Alabama), or you’re full of shite.

Lmao.... right
That’s why when you go to a restaurant they don’t have BFE style food (Alabama), they have Cajun/creole.
Does Alabama even have a style of cooking, or is it all just a variation of the items offered at Ryan’s buffet?

I asked about oysters in nawlins and folks said u gotta hit acme. Said go to gw fins for the best seafood in the world.

I'd take the original oyster house in gulf shores over either. LA food is the most overrated this side of France.

Haven't had a lot of places in Alabama and I'm not saying it's a high end place, but if you're near Huntsville, you need to try The Hunt Club. I've had some great burgers and they have Snake Handler on tap.

Acme was your first mistake. But you were so close. Felix’s across the street is much better.

New Orleans also gives real Cajun good a bad name.

That’s all I’ve heard from people I know who live there. When we go to the beach I always hear people say that the one place that I have to go is Lambert’s. It’s good, but it didn’t even originate in Alabama. I don’t live there, so I don’t know.
I do know one thing, dreamland bbq sucks. BBQ sauce is ok. But the meat is usually over cooked and the sides are meh...

I’ve heard of it, never been. But I’m going hunting over near Huntsville after Christmas. So I’ll have to try it out. Thanks for the recommendation bud.
