Let's see.

Manziel had over 3700 yards passing with 26 TD's and a 68% completion percentage. He also led the SEC with over 1400 yards rushing and another 21 TD's.

McCarron had just over 2900 yards passing with 30 TD's and a 67% completion percentage. Of course he did also have 4 yards rushing for the season and 1 TD.

Manziel had almost as many Total Yards last year as McCarron has had in 3 years.

The answer though is clearly the Mettsiah.

If I had to pick one to play for LSU next year I would say JFF. He is the best play maker in the conference, and I am not sure it is even arguable. But with that said if I had Bama's team I would pick AJ. He has done nothing but win and manage that offense. I think he is extremely underrated and may be the best of all when it is all said and done. HE fits what Saban needs in a qb. I think Murray might be able to make a few more plays than AJ, but isn't as consistent. Mett, may have the most potential of all but he still needs to prove it.

I dislike the "manager" aspect for AJ

AJ's more than a manager, he just doesn't get showcased like the others. Nice luxury to have when you have those RBs and that line. Bama's wealth of talent lessens AJ's true talent.

You're just smoking crack with Mett. We will never know his true ceiling because Les won't game plan to highlight him.

Let me ask A&M fans. Would you support the notion that AJ is a better QB than Manziel but Manziel is about a 10x better playmaker? That's just my belief. Regardless of years or eligibility, I just think AJ's game is more polished. Despite his tendency to throw that weird back foot garbage he always does, I noticed he does under throw it a little more and behind the receiver. I know he's a redshirt sophomore but still. And don't tell me it's just because Bama is stacked. A&M was quite stacked as well, considering their offensive line was almost as loaded as Alabama's. receivers were overall better than Alabama's as well.

As far as under throwing, I was talking about manziel

I saw it on the QB ranking thread, and I agree:

JFF is a better player
AJ is a better QB

pick your poison.

Being a playmaker can't be divorced from being a QB. It's a huge plus when you have a QB that can run the offense and make things happen. How valuable is it that Manziel can escape pressure like few can and forces defenses to respect his running ability? It just boggles me that some thing Saban wouldn't take advantage of that. Manziel just puts ridiculous pressure on a defense because even if you call the right defense on him he can make you pay through improvisation.

Manziel also is a very accurate qb. He can place a ball in a tight spot as well as anyone. Look at some of those throws in the Bama game, esp the Swope pass and the last TD pass to Kennedy. Those were perfect, in stride strikes with a tiny margin for error. He just doesn't throw many bullets.

AJ and Murray are excellent QB's. They will both likely play on Sundays. Manziel is just a freak. It's honestly comical when folks say that "teams will scheme for him!" as though it is that simple. OU had over a month to do so and he lit them up like a Christmas Tree.

The ONLY SEC team that has any right to say they didn't know what they were getting when facing the Aggies is Florida, and they won.

Everyone else who says "wait until xyz game plans for him" is full of absolute shite. You think those high priced coaches were caught off guard 6,7,8 weeks into the season when they lined up opposite of Sumlin? If you think that, you are overpaying your coaching staffs. Anyone who says this is automatically getting a mega dose of whatever cures butthurt, 'cause you has it.

If that's not what you were getting at, my bsd

tend to agree with this. Manziel needs a free flowing open offense to succeed. I think he'd be good in any offense, but not elite in the Bama/UGA offenses because his arm is limited.

It's great to see a realistic a&m fan. Please post more.

I also think Bama or UGA would change their offense a bit for a guy like Manziel.

Agreed. UGA has already said they will do that if they land QB recruit Deshaun Watson.

That is correct because he beat Manziel in his own house. I read that logic here.

Manziel had one year in a true West Coast Offense under Mike Sherman. He'd be fine.

In which he RS and probably ran the scout team and didn't see a whole lot of reps even running the WCO.

JFF can make the throws and adds JFF.

As far as the Ring argument - ridiculous. Give JFF Bamas D. How about that.

If those 3 QBS were being recruited now. Know what we know. All 3 would take JFF. That is simply fact.
