Ho hum. Johnny Wholestaff for BaseVOLS just threw their first of many shutouts this year and gave up 2 hits. Oh and the #1 pick in this year's MLB draft is sitting out this series.

Soularie, 1st team All American did not play either. This is going to be a deep and talented team come June that will primed for a deep postseason run.

That was the first live pitch any of the Illinois hitters have seen this year. It’s the first time they have stepped on grass since October. The Illinois baseball field is currently covered in snow.
