Ok bulldawgs, here is your chance. What are your best single moments at Omaha or watching at Home. Of course State won in game three as I predicted.

I will start you off:

In game 2 late inning when the state relief pitcher made a mistake and left one over the plate and the Vandy hitter hit a HR, and then he turned around a waived bye to the ball.

First of all, It was freaking hilarious, and I have never ever seen any pitcher do that.

Second, it showed how relaxed, resilient and selfless this team was and how they really got it. He didn’t give a flip if he gave up a HR, or his personal stats as long as they won. He was doing his part and preserving their ace closer for the final game. That one play told you all you needed to know about what was coming in game 3.

Favorite moment from the champions:

Bednar in the dugout in game 1. Even if it came at our team’s expense, it was incredible to see how loose he was that night, and all week to be honest, on his way to MOP and record-breaking performances. No doubt in my mind he was the best baseball player in Omaha for that week and a half

Favorite moment outside of MSU:

Without question it had to be the moment when the UVA player hit a home run in their first game and the player’s dad, who was a cancer-survivor and in attendance, being gifted the ball in the stands. I don’t care who you are, that’s gotta hit you straight in the feels

It’s actually incredible how loose he was. He was legitimately just having fun out there smiling in a close game. Bednar will be in the majors a long long time

its gotta be the Virginia game. 1 out in the 8th with the virginia pitcher throwing a no-hitter...walks a guy and kellum Clark drops a 2 run bomb to break up the no-hitter and jumpstarts a 6 run inning to take the lead after Tanner Allen smashes a 3 run homer of his own. we lose that game, we lose the CWS because we would have had to extend our pitching. So many great moments in this CWS, but that was the most critical.

Coleman coming in to close Game 3 2009 vs Texas. Big strike out to end the game then he skyrockets his glove before being tackled by Gibbs

1. Bednar and Sims’ performance against Texas in game 1. We don’t make it to the natty without that.
2. Tanner’s HR and Clark’s 3 run dagger in the 7th. Nail in the coffin for the natty.

I would have sworn that when Clark hit the three run homer in the seventh, as he crossed home plate and took off his helmets, he looked up and said "F*(k them Boys".....I was half asleep but I thought that was magnificent given the previous Vandy exploits during the week.

Lots of moments in the championship series, but the walk-off against Texas to make the finals was pretty special.

Brayland Skinner came in as a pinch-runner and executed the steal to get into scoring position, and sub SS Tanner Leggett got the walk-off RBI.

Both Seniors, both from Mississippi, neither of them an every game starter, but they did their jobs and got their CWS moment.

Sims’ performance

He might not get the same praise as Bednar, but I loved how confident Sims was to close out games, that was a great combo

Basically the entire Game 2 during the big moments. The atmosphere in the park was electric! We knew the momentum had shifted and that State was going to win it all.

Of course Game 3 was also an amazing experience, but the vibe was more relaxed for game 3 because I think the crowd sensed we were going to win. Game 2 was when our backs were against the wall, and we came out and killed the spirit of those Vandy boys.

Another cool moment was when Kam James hit that homer in the first inning of game 1. His grandpa was sitting next to me in the stands, and he filmed it. I asked him if he got it all, and he smiled and said that he hoped so because he was shaking so bad with excitement. Just seeing the pride he had for his grandson made my day. Even though we lost that game, it was a cool moment.

The whole few days we spent in Omaha was the experience of a lifetime. That trip should be part of every baseball fan’s bucket list.

A Twitter campaign effectively converted his damn whistle into a State chant. Each time he whistled, we yelled, “Let’s Go, State!” It even had a pretty cool cadence to it. By the end, even State fans were mocking his damn whistle, and I think we killed his spirit.

That's exactly what he said.... twice. I didn't notice it when I watched it live. I watched the 7th inning last night and laughed my arse off. Crushes a bomb, trots home, camera gets right in his face and he goes "frick them boys. frick THEM BOYS!"
